I H S is the not-for-profit association for Spanish language Teachers & Students. The purpose of the association is to promote a better understanding between India & the Spanish speaking world and to support Spanish learning in India and Indian languages in the Hispanic world.
I H S was conceived early 2004, was constituted in April 2004 and is a registered association but independent of Government, relying heavily on the generosity of members & other well-wishers.
I H S maintains a library - Indo-Hispanic Library exclusively with Spanish
Language Books - Bengal’s first Spanish only library with 7500 books & a comprehensive collection of digital & multimedia resources.
I H S conducts Spanish language classes under the banner of Language Academy
I H S organizes Seminars, workshops, Exhibitions, Tertulia, Film Festivals….
I H S publishes books, magazines in Spanish & in Indian languages.
I H S also provides translation, interpretation & tourist assistance services
